Kallie Polk (6th Grade Last Names A-K, 7th Grade School Counselor)

She/Her/Hers Hi! My name is Ms. Polk and I am new to Montbello this year. This is my 5th year in education, where I’ve also been an elementary school counselor and 1st grade teacher. I help support students through individual check-ins, groups, and classroom lessons. Outside of school, I enjoy walking my dogs and finding treasures at thrift stores.

You can reach me at kallie_polk@dpsk12.net or 720-424-0858.

My name is Perla Murillo and I am a bilingual (Spanish/English) social worker. I’ve been a School Social Worker since 2019, all my years have been serving the students and families of Montbello. I love working alongside students, families, and teachers to help every child feel supported and successful. I help guide IEPs and 504 Plans to make sure students receive the support they need to thrive. My biggest goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where every student feels heard, valued, and confident being themselves. I’m passionate about supporting students’ social and emotional well-being and helping them grow both inside and outside the classroom! Outside of work, I love spending quality time with my family! I also enjoy baking, catering events as my small business and staying involved in my church community. I love finding ways to bring people together, help others, and make a positive difference wherever I can.
